  • 300g beef steak (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or sesame)

For the sauce:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional but recommended)
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce or honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan or wok on high heat.
  2. Add sliced beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add vegetables and sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  4. Mix all sauce ingredients together in a bowl.
  5. Return beef to the pan and pour the sauce over.
  6. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and veggies.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Extra Tips

  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
  • Add mushrooms, snap peas, or carrots for more color.
